Inspired by and named after Monte Zebrù in the Ortles Alps and made in Italy, Salewa’s Zebru Fresh bodymapping baselayers are made primarily from superfine merino wool blended with durable Tencel Lyocell sourced from sustainably grown wood. The merino wool provides optimal heat dissipation and a soft, next-to-skin feel, while Lyocell provides additional moisture absorption and freshness, making this T-shirt ideal for mountaineering and climbing.

In addition, this baselayer features smart synthetic polyamide yarns enriched with a unique blend of natural thermoreactive minerals. These Responsive yarns are able to absorb Far Infrared Energy (FIR) from the body and slowly release it back into muscle tissue over time. The resulting increased blood flow, cellular performance and oxygenation leads to more effective thermoregulation, better performance and faster recovery. Responsive is an integral part of the fabric and does not wash out.

The long-sleeve women’s version of this baselayer has a body-hugging, athletic cut and an attractive jacquard knit that stretches well without spandex. The polyamide content also makes it more durable and shape-retaining. An advanced circular knitting process creates a seamless, one-piece top with no side seams – guaranteeing you smooth comfort. And thanks to its high merino wool content, the Zebru baselayer also naturally counteracts odor.
